Artists Hub – Underground Arts Park
Once again the Collingwood Underground Arts Park will be an integral venue for the Sweet Streets 2010 Festival. This unique space, which was once an underground car park and is still adorned with street art on the walls from last year’s festival, will provide a studio base for our artists, a venue for workshops, and an exhibition space for our artist run show during the last week of the festival.
The underground provides an ideal opportunity for all artists to engage in the festival, hang out with each other, work collaboratively on walls, exhibition pieces (you can even bring art work down to hang in the exhibition), and pieces for the fundraising auction at 1000 £ Bend at the end of the festival Sunday 24th October.
Works for the fundraising auction
The future of the festival relies heavily on funds to be raised through the sale of works at the fundraising auction. This year our funding for the festival has been minimal, so we need as many artists to contribute work for the auction – you may have existing works to donate, or you may want to make works in the underground to donate. Smaller pieces are best for the auction.
